Lloyd Wililams and his team floated a star line up of horses to Werribee today to help test the newly laid turf at Werribee Racing Club. The surface had its first real test since being installed with previous Melbourne Cup winner Efficient, up and coming star Linton and new imports Mourayan and Irish St Leger winner Alandi working this morning. Rob Hickmott and his staff brought some of the Lloyd Williams team to Werribee to help test the track and to provide some feedback to the club. Both the Macedon Lodge team and club were very happy with the results. A total of 12 horses worked on the course and feedback from jockey Nick Hall and several track riders indicated the track was in great shape. After several showers of rain over the last 72 hours all parties involved were very happy with the new surface. The track is being tested in readiness for the first arrival of horses at the Werribee International Horse Centre in late August.
